On July 31, 2023, Corsini Laser Eye Center officially opened its doors to the public in Wayne, PA. We offer premium, patient-centered care, the best technology on the planet, including SMILE (a.k.a. flapless LASIK), and the wisdom of eight years of experience serving military members and their families.
I am incredibly grateful for those who supported me in the journey towards this milestone, and I’d like to take a moment to thank them in this post.
First and foremost, I’d like to thank my wife, Dr. Laura Corsini. Laura is my cheerleader, champion, task manager, interior designer, and, most recently, social media director. All of this, in addition to being the loving mother of our two children and a world-class dermatologist. My life is blessed because my path crossed with Laura’s over thirteen years ago.
Secondly, I’d like to thank Dr. Bruce Rivers: retired Army Colonel, refractive surgery extraordinaire, and visionary behind Envue Eye and Laser Center in Oxon Hill, MD. Dr. Rivers was the first to put the idea in my head that I could start my own practice, and he has been both an enthusiastic supporter and a strategic partner since I began my journey to entrepreneurship.
I would be remiss not to thank Dr. Bill Gensheimer, who taught me everything I know about refractive surgery – and then beat me in a duathlon. Dr. G’s leadership in our Air Force clinic has been a model for how I lead in my own practice.
Dr. Brian Shafer of nearby Shafer Vision Institute in Plymouth Meeting, PA, has selflessly shared his time, resources, and energy in support of my practice, and his genuine enthusiasm for our overlapping ventures is inspiring.
